We want to welcome our newest member of the Tehila team here in Zambia- Winnie Kanyanta.
Winnie would love to introduce herself…
“Hello my name is Winnie and I have just started working for Tehila. I am a Zambian and travelled to Australia when I was 18 years old. There I completed a community development undergraduate degree followed by a Masters of Social Work in 2015. During and from that time, I have worked extensively in the area of mental health with experience in child protection and clinical social work.
I am passionate about welfare and community development, in this case, working collaboratively with different stakeholders of the community to create spaces where children can be safe and can flourish as they grow to become who God desires for them to be. I also look forward to seeing the growth of child supportive services in Zambia, that will foster and encourage the participation and confidence of children and their families requiring advocacy and assistance.
I am excited to be a part of Tehila because of its commitment and investment in the creation of safer environments for children here in Zambia. With my skills and expertise, I hope to contribute towards the establishment of the work Tehila is carrying out in the community.”
We are excited to have Winnie on board. It is another step of faith as we passionately and obediently pursue the vision that God has placed on our hearts. Her role will be two fold. She will be a Safe Places Trainer/ Facilitator and she will also have a business development role within Tehila. We are excited to widen the scope of our work and target other organisations including the engagement of the corporate world here in Lusaka.
Winnie’s email is ngosamwape89.com and I am sure she would love to hear from you if you want to send a personal welcome straight into her inbox!!
Bye for now….
