Well the rains are here! Good job the girls are prepared! Not sure the car is as equipped as it slid off our drive on sunday, into mud and remained stuck there refusing to budge! A friend had to pull us out!
Oh and with the rain come a load more insects! Welcome to the thousands of flying ants. Joy!
On a serious note, once again the rains have been a shocking reminder of where we are. As Isla and Amba put on their rain jackets and use their new umbrellas, we drive to school passing children and adults doing everything they can to keep dry. As the dirt roads are flooding, turned into mud streams, people are walking with plastic bags on their heads and old plastic sheets as capes. People are drenched. Another new experience in Zambia and another stark and humbling moment.
Hope you are all well.
