Family Legacy

Hi all
We have done it!!!  For three intense but exhilarating days this week, Sam, Obet and myself were with Family Legacy, helping them to develop a Child Safeguarding Policy to keep children even more safe in their organisation.   They are an inspiring organisation with an incredible heart for children, desiring to be excellent in providing safe environments for all the children they come into contact with, have access to and have an impact on. Thank you so much Family Legacy. It was great working with you.

This is the first time Tehila have trained an organisation so large, providing care and education for over 12,000 vulnerable children in the communities across Lusaka. They employ around 300 teachers across their schools and have around 100 house mothers caring for the 650 children living within their Tree of Life Village.

It was a bit daunting for us but feedback from the training is positive so we are pleased it was such a huge success. It is so exciting and a privilege to see people from all parts of an organisation come together, and start a journey which takes them to a new level in terms of child safeguarding.

To play a small part in empowering and enabling these people to unite together and use the skill and knowledge amongst them to create sound, comprehensive and effective safeguarding policies is so rewarding.
